What is your leadership campaign, and what cause could it serve?

The cause my campaign serves is literacy. People are often reluctant to open a book and read with focused energy for an extended period of time. Worse still, people are often reluctant to want to write extended thoughts, descriptions, and self-help. Simply, people are not writing and reading enough, and this leadership campaign looks to change that. This problem persists because people often feel uninspired by reading a traditional book. It is far too easy to watch videos, to go out with friends, to shop than it is to undertake an intellectual pursuit. But the value of any intellectual pursuit is certainly one that everyone understands. People need a place and reason to get excited about reading and writing. There are so many ways this can be accomplished. There are possible reading groups that could be formed. There are so many distinct places people could venture to in order to inspire their reading and writing. Every word is a step towards discovery and change. This project hopes to find a way for people to realize this.
