"Alphabet of Inspirations"?
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTVWXYZ
The goal of the "Alphabet of Inspirations" is to inspire you to get out there and start adventureading. Each letter in the alphabet starts an explanation of a resource a reader should access to feel inspired to take part in this campaign. Every letter leads to a link.
A song that people can add to their playlists to feel inspired to take part in this campaign is "Come with Me Now" by the Kongos. Click Here.
"Broken Cowboy" by the Dead South is also a perfect song, a perfect tone-setter for inspiring people to get out there and experience the rough and wild of Southwestern North Dakota. It will inspire them to experience the outdoors with their camping gear, their books, and their notepads. Click Here.
Clever words are also useful for instilling in people the correct mindset for taking part in this campaign. Clever words have a way of reaching the heart so that the mind is ready to undertake a challenge. Theodore Roosevelt provides the clever words needed to instill in people an interest in living. Too many people limit themselves to their homes. They could experience so much more, and experience it to the fullest. Click Here.
Definitions also have a way of inspiring people. A definition this campaign would like people to revisit is the definition of the word writing. Many think of writing solely as an exhausting undertaking, and that is because people often have the idea that writing only means writing a lot. In fact, writing is the process of creating notes. This campaign is built on the idea of writing short, memorable notes--not essays or books. Writing too much can often turn writers away from the craft. Writing can be as short as it needs to be. Envisioning one's ideal genre of reading can encourage one to read more. If someone knows, for instance, that they love nonfiction, self-help, then reading this genre would encourage them to read more. All too often in life people read the things they think others want them to read. Nonfiction is an overlooked, underappreciated genre of reading that more people should prioritize. Interestingly, Theodore Roosevelt talked about this very same thing in his autobiography. He observed how he was driven to read because his parents allowed him to read what interested him. In Roosevelt's own words, "There was very little effort made to compel me to read books, my father and mother having the good sense not to try to get me to read anything I did not like, unless it was in the way of study. I was given the chance to read books that they thought I ought to read, but if I did not like them, I was then given some other good book that I did like." Click Here.
Finding a place to inspire your reading and writing is what this campaign is all about. I recommend starting your adventure, as I did, at Elk Horn Ranch. Click Here.
Getting the right tools for adventuring is also critical in applying the recommendations from this campaign. Ideally, one is inspired to camp more, read more, write more, adventure more because they have a "Roof Top Ten" of their own. Click Here.
Having an idea of where one wants to go to read, write, and adventure is the first step in getting out and reading and writing more. People need to investigate their own itinerary, one that speaks to them. Click Here.
Instagram can and should play an important role in your participation in this campaign. If you participate, please consider using the hashtag bluekawklead. This hashtag, #bluehawklead, is important for encouraging others to get out there and be involved in a meaningful pursuit. Click Here.

Knowledge in my life is something I attribute, foremost, to experiences at Dickinson State University. If you're looking for a college, as well as a surrounding that inspires your learning, you can't do any better than become a Blue Hawk. Click Here.
Lessons come through a variety of mediums. Songs can provide lessons. People can provide lessons. Classrooms can provide lessons. Real-world situations and challenges can provide lessons. A color can also provide a lesson. There is something powerful and instrumental about the color green. The color green is reserved confidence, unmistaken clarity, and humble message. Click Here.
Many people mistakenly believe that there is "Nothing new under the sun." They have limited, for instance, their views on such experiences as foods. People commonly think only in terms of creating, enjoying, and sharing foods they've experienced throughout their lives. New foods are, however, possible. There are so many different flavor combinations, seasonings, textures. Food is a language that inspires everyone. Click Here.
No one has spare time, really. Everyone lives busy lives. We have family to care for. We have classes to attend. We have jobs to work. We have classes to study for. We have needed relaxation to prioritize. But if people don't make time for hobbies they value, hobbies that can broaden their knowledge, then life and life's many gifts will pass them by. People must be earnest about scheduling their time. Click Here.
Of course, I have a primary goal with this leadership campaign or promoting my alma mater of Dickinson State University. I graduated from DSU in 2003. I graduated with the distinction of being a Theodore Roosevelt Honors Scholar. This distinction instilled in me a lifetime appreciation for inventing leadership efforts. DSU, and DSU's proud tradition in Southwest North Dakota is a brilliant reason to attend this University and aspire for leadership excellence. There's room for you all to be the next TR Scholar. Possibly, the greatest form of inspiration we have in this world is to look. History is rich with moments and people that inspire curiosity, perspective, action. An underlying figure in this campaign is Theodore Roosevelt. An underlying event in this campaign is the printing press. The printing press inspired its generation to read. This innovation compelled interest in developing literacy. The modern equivalent is the introduction of the Kindle. Click Here.
Questions are the greatest means of engaging people in content, life, and others. A brilliant discussion question, for instance, can get people talking, thinking, leading. There is always value in learning how to plan and write a brilliant discussion question. Click Here.
Remembering one of this campaign's slogans can lead to all the inspiration needed. This campaign's go-to slogan is "We are all Blue Hawks! Adventuread!" Some places in Southwest North Dakota rival the most exotic locations anywhere in the world. Evidently, we have the Badlands. We also have other, beautiful places. There are, for instance, the Killdeer Mountains. Click Here.
Theories on leadership provide a great starting point for people to rethink their roles in life. Taking part in this campaign, supporting this campaign, advertising this campaign requires one have the right perspective on leadership. To that end, this campaign is informed by Behavioral Theory. It firmly believes people can grow into the role models the world needs. Click Here.
Victory is measured by the small steps people take that lead to the grand designs in life. Everything small has a place. Everything small has a critical starting point. To wait too long to take the first steps is to ignore the imperative of making a difference the world needs. A calligram provides the perfect example of how small items inform a larger image or impression. Click Here.
What happens when people don't prioritize reading and writing in their lives is they forget a fundamental lesson in life: You cannot manufacture inspiration. You cannot fixate on a problem and expect to fix it without drawing on multiple points of knowledge. It is by surveying one's landscape that one finds a new way of looking at it. It is rarely by meditating on that landscape that one finds a new way of looking at it. Reading is a way to survey the mind and heart to find new ways of looking at the world. Click Here.
X-rays are critical for understanding human anatomy. The equivalent for understanding Southwest North Dakota is camping. A person cannot profess to know completely their home without getting out and subjecting themselves to the elements. Click Here.
You are a critical part of my campaign. Your comments, your views, your reads provide me a source of inspiration. Please consider following my channel on YouTube. Click Here.
Zeal is one of the most underappreciated dispositions in life. Many people with zeal can accomplish much. Zeal is a person's fuel for overcoming challenges. It is possible to manufacture zeal by simply changing one's mindset. The ideal mindset a person should have in leadership, in leading, is a growth mindset. Click Here.
